Intro

More than half of a century after the creation of the institutions of Bretton Woods, the world registered the formation of a new international agency that seeks to promote multilateralism and avows to counter hegemonic expansion of the West: the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa).

The creation of the BRICS signals a sense of hope for the members of that institution and for other countries of the world whose legitimate aspiration for self-determination has been undermined by repetitive assaults of the western world.

The existence of such a new block which gives a power of choice of choice to countries of the global south is somehow reminiscent of forged alliances of the past in the name of freedom, justice, and equality, mainly the Non-Alignment Movement.  The New Dawn aims at highlighting the legitimate aspirations of people, communities, countries in their respective quest for freedom and justice.
